Don 2: The King Is Back is the latest Hindi release, and even though a consensus is yet to form on the movie’s reviews, the future holds good for Farhan Akhtar’s latest directorial venture, being as it is an SRK movie, out and out. Here’s what the movie’s success will likely mean to it’s star cast :
King Khan: Salman’s Khan’s brainless hits in the last 2 years have prompted the industry to constantly spell the end of King Khan Shah Rukh, but rest assured Don:2will likely enjoy the commercial success like RA.One, despite it’s flaws, and the rivalry, will remain as fodder for gossip columns, as neither Salman nr Shah Rukh care/worry about being the no. 1. They are much beyond that.
Priyanka Chopra: needs a hit though not too badly. Kareena Kapoor can hog and bask in all the limelight for accidentally being in her heroes’ movies, but Priyanka has already proved her mettle with 7 Khoon Maaf and likewise and need not worry about great roles from great directors coming her way. Way to go jungli billi 
Lara Dutta: never mind Isha Koppikar’s replacement from the earlier installment, Lara has done enough of frolicking in cliche B-Town settings and her greatest role is due anytime now: mum. We wish her all the success in her most beautiful avatar, which it ever will be, and remain so.
Boman Irani: doesn’t need to prove anything. Is a big plus point to any project he is a part of.
Om Puri: doesn’t need to prove anything again, though we can argue about the second point, but in any case his grumpy expressions make it worth it all.
Kunal Kapoor: when you are that good looking, something’s got to be terribly wrong for not being on the big screen much. Thanks for not doing too many itsy-bitsy roles though. We wish him and his countless female fans, much more big screen outings of the hunk. amen!
Sahil Shroff: new beginning for one of India’s very few supermodels, but not exactly his make-or-break debut. Must be wary in future projects and stick to variety or roles.
Special appearance male superstar: thank you for adding money’s worth for non-SRK fans.
