Akshay Kumar tops as Bollywood Highest Tax Payer
Bollywood Stars seems to have beaten the economic slowdown. Akshay Kumar becomes the highest tax payer for the year 2008-09 with a tax of Rs 1 crore being payed to the IT Department.
Akshay now becomes the highest and beats the king khan in top tax payee list of bollywood stars. Shahrukh Khan who was the top tax payee last year marginally lost the race with Akki this year.
Akshay Kumar also was the most poupular bollywood star last year beating all the khan’s aside. Last year he gave many blockbusters and become the highest earner of the bollywood.
The top ten bollywood stars together paid Rs 107 crore as taxes while the same set had paid Rs 90.90 crore in 2007-08 when the economy was booming.
The other two khans – Salman and Saif were at number three and four, having paid Rs 14 crore and Rs 8.6 crore respectively.
Among the bollywood Jodi’s Saif-Kareena are together the highest tax payee with Kareena paying Rs 3.7 crore. The duo clearly beat the Bachchans – Abhishek and Aishwarya – who stood at No 8 and No 6 respectively.
Yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khann continues to be among the top Bollywood tax payers, coming at no. 5 paying Rs 6.87 crore leading ahead of Big B (Rs 1.25 crore) who slipped to 10 number from last year 7th position.

Sajid Nadiadwala spends 8lakhs on Kareena!
The big budgeted film of the year Kambakkht Ishq is getting bigger n bigger. Sajid Nadiadwala has especially ordered a dress from Paris for Kareena for a dance sequence.
According to the sources, “When the songs was completed and the whole crew had a look, the song was looking very beautiful and eye catching. But most importantly everyone’s eyes were stuck at seeing Kareena’s dress. Kareena was looking gorgeous. The dress costed 8 lakhs.”
Sajid gifted the dress to Kareena saying that she looks gorgeous in the dress.
“Sajid Nadiadwala is a wonderful person at heart. He always makes sure that his cast and crew is happy. Kareena was heart felt after receiving such an extra ordinary gift from Sajid Bhai. She was short of words to express her feeling after she received the gift,” adds the source.
