Kangna got some good reviews with her recent release Raaz – The Mystery Continues. Now the bubbly girl is all set to play as veteran actress Madhubala in the film ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai‘. The film deals with the real story of the underworld don of the 1960′s, Haji Mastan.
Once Upon a Time in Mumbai is produced by Ekta Kapoor‘s Balaji Telefilm and directed by Milind Luthria. Before Kangana was finalized, Luthria also explored some other options like Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra. Kangana selection will finally move the movie on the role with actors Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles. Now the cast is in place and film is scheduled to go on floors in April and will be shot in Mumbai.
Although Bollywood has made some films on Haji Mastan before, like Deewar, the film will mainly focus on the romantic side of Madhubala and Haji Mastan. Ajay Devgan will play Haji Mastan and Emran Hashmi will play the young Dawood.
