IPL Season 2 is just about to begin, its time once again for various franchisees to create maximum awareness about their respective teams. So keeping this in mind Shah Rukh Khan has come up with a unique reality TV show, Knight and Angles.
The much awaited dance reality show will trace the hunt for 6 talented girls to lead the cheer-leader squad of the Kolkata Knight Riders. The show will be judged by the Indian Cricket maestro Sourav Ganguly, also the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders.
The show will be hosted by V.J. turned actor Purab Kohli and the gorgeous Anushka Sharma (Taani Ji of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi). She will also be a celebrity judge for the first episode of Knight and Riders along with Sourav Ganguly.
There has been extensive auditions all through the country and finally 24 girls are short listed who will be trained and groomed. These girls will be judged on various grounds like energy, style, personality, attitude, rythm and fire. The girls will be trained under the industry ace choreographer Shaimak Davar. There will be different guest judges every time to choose the best out of these 24. In all there will be 6 girls that will finally make it to the cheer-leaders of the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Sourav Ganguly said, “I have never been a judge before. It’s equally exciting and nerve-wracking for me and I’m really looking forward to a whole new experience. Shah Rukh and Juhi have promised to guide me and I assure my Knights that we will find those ‘Angels’ that will cheer us to victory.”
In an interview with Shahrukh, he said, ” Cricket is full of hard work and entertainment. We are very excited with challenge of finding the best cheerleaders for our team. These girls will play akey role in the victory of our team. The competition is tough and we need cheerleaders to support our team on the field.”
Knights and Angles will be a 6 episode series staring from 28th February 2009, 10PM IST every saturday on NDTV Imagine. The show will really be exciting to watch, with lots of energy, enthusiasm, fun, dance, music and glamour from all the dancers to finally make ground in top 6 leading Kolkata Knight Rider’s Knights and Angles.
