Continuing with Nach Baliye Four’s first episode, audiences were thrilled to see Bipasha Basu‘s fan and Beijing Olympics Bronze medallist, boxer Vijendar Kumar come and hand over a bouqet of flowers to the sexy and stunned Bips. Vijender also tried to shake a leg with Bipasha but ended up with a cute and clumsy act, while Bipasha was promised by Farah Khan of working with her, as the choreographer and actress have never worked with each othere till date. It would be worth all the waiting to see Bipasha Basu dance to the moves of the ace choreographer and Nach Baliye Four judge Farah Khan.
Moving on with the rest of the couples, here is their report card.
Nach Baliye Four Jodi No. 11 – Shaleen and Daljit
Song – ‘Tandoori Nights Remix’ from the movie Karzzzz.
Dressed in black and gold attire and complementing each other, Shaleen set the stage on fire with his lithe moves while Daljit matched up to her partner’s credentials. Farah Khan was happy with Shaleen‘s work and said that though some of his moves were half-baked, the whole act was quite well-off. Karisma Kapoor saw good potential in the two dancers while Arjun Rampal talked about his Jabalpur connection and congratulated the couple for making a fiery start. With quite a good score card, here’s what they got -

Nach Baliye Four Jodi No. 7 – Sudeep and Anantika

Cuties Sudeep and Anantika, came dressed in white and yellow outfits respectively and the man who has done more than 100 ads till date, did give a good performance with his non-actor MBA degree holder wife, who has a tattoo on her arm, which reads ‘loyalty’. But the judges weren’t impressed. While Farah Khan pointed our that AnaNtika was constantly looking down, Karisma Kapoor too noticed that the gal did lip-sync male wordings of the song. Arjun too thought that the act went down because of all this. And here’s what the second cute jodi got -

Nach Baliye Four Jodi No. 1 – Vineet and Tanushree
Song – ‘Rock The Dance Floor’ from the movie Race
They came, they forgot, the continued and they conquered. Vineet forgot his steps a few seconds into the dance but recovered quickly and completed the whole dance, unlike never before seen on Nach Baliye. The duo got a second chance as it was the first episode itself, and got loads of praise for completing the act. And the second time they did it perfectly. Farah Khan got personal with Tanushree by asking her (and getting to know) if she was older than her hubby, just like Farah herself. Arjun appreciated the chemistry and Karisma Kapoor said that Vineet was superb. Here’s what the double take got this duo -

Nach Baliye Four Jodi No. 20 – Jatin and Priya
Song – ‘Aai Paapi’ from the movie Kismat Konnection
The graduation ceremony coats and hats soon gave way to shimmering purple attire as Jatin and Priya tried to make an impressive first act. But they failed to make any magic, in turn inviting the ire of the three judges. Arjun Rampal pointed out the duo’s shoe mismatch which led to height differences, while also pointing out the weak choreography. Farah Khan too called it a ‘no expressions‘ act, while announcing that each week she was giving away a ‘dhila dhakkan award‘ to the weakest performance and this jodi was in the front runners! Karisma Kapoor pointed out the lack of chemistry and dull performance. And all this led to the lowest scores of the first week -

Nach Baliye Four Jodi No. 2 – Rashmi and Amit
Song – ‘Khwaab Deke Jhoote Moote’ from the movie Race
From bed to dance floor, Rashmi and Amit tried to tickle some funny bone as well while dancing in shades of green. Though the act was fairly good, but the judges had different opinions. Farah Khan reprimanded them for putting forward a school play while Arjun Rampal said that he couldn’t understand the act itself while telling them that they had good body language to pull off a sexy dance. Karisma Kapoor said that the choreography was low due to a lot of acting in the couple’s performance. And here’s what this jodi got

Nach Baliye Four Jodi No. 1 – Abhijeet and Shilpi
Song – ‘Tujhe Aksa Beach’ from the movie God Tussi Great Ho
Now this one had everything going for itself. Indian Idol One winner, singer Abhijeet Sawant and wife Shilpi came forward to do a tapori act in blue and red dresses respectively, and did they set the stage on fire! A cute prop act in the end and a skewed face which Shilpi made in the act impressed the judges, who asked Shilpi to repeat the expression once again. Farah Khan asked Abhijeet to stop singing and just dance as she didn’t expect him to be this good. Choreographer Vijay was complemented, after being told that the dance and act were perfect. Karisma called it ‘too good’ and enjoyed the chemistry and synchronisation. While Arjun Rampal thought that everything was perfect. So much for the performance of the week!
