Song analysis – ‘Karle Gunaah‘ from Ugly Aur Pagli starts off on the wrong foot where you are led to believe that copy-cat Anu Malik has lifted another tune from Daddy Yankee‘s Gasolina or an Impacto! But soon the song takes over in the energy and freshness that the oomposer has tried to infuse ‘Karle Gunaah‘ from Ugly Aur Pagli. The lyrics are flirtatious and sexy, but Amitabh Verma doesn’t give you too much freshness in that, yet it is the singing by Ishq Bector of ‘E Hip-hopper Mujhe Pyaar To Kar’ fame and this is why you get mixed feelings from this song. ‘Karle Gunaah‘ from Ugly Aur Pagli has fast pace yet the music doesn’t seem yo catch in on it. The lyrics of ‘Karle Gunaah‘ from Ugly Aur Pagli are a bit too repetitive at times, and the antaras offer little respite from the verbosity. Ishq Bector muight be making his Bollywood playback debut with this one but if he is to make a mark truly, it’s a long way from here! Anushka gets the ‘ooh’s and ‘aahs’ of the song quite well and it’s due to her seductive voice that ‘Karle Gunaah‘ becomes somewhat of a winner itself.
