Tadka question - Khushboo, Summer 2007 and Mere Baap Pehle Aap: which appeals you enough to go to the theatre near you?
Come June 13, and three releases are going to hit the movie halls. With Khushboo, Summer 2007 and Mere Baap Pehle Aap, all hitting the theatres this Friday, the cine-goers seem to be too badly spoilt for choice, what with Sarkar Raj and Aamir having already gained immense critical acclaim and great beginnings, and Jannat still trying to create a heaven for itself at the Box Office. Phew! What are the Tadka readers gonna do now? Well, here’s help.
Mere Baap Pehle Aap would clearly come out to be the top choice in case you wanna go in for the tried and tested. Priyadarshan is at the helm of affairs and this man can strictly make you laugh as well as think about the turmoils his movie plots unfold on the big screen. The prospects get even better with Akshaye Khanna and Paresh Rawal trying to tickle your funny bone, with able help for Genelia, who has made a sorta comeback to Hindi cinema after ruling the South. No brownie points for guessing that the treat gets even better with Archana Puran Singh, and Om Puri, whom the audiences have been dying to see on screen, though the promos seemingly have been kept low and a rushed affair.
In case romance takes over your moods, pyaar ki Khusboo haazir hai janaab! This Pahlaj Nihalani direction, starring newcomers Avantikka and Rishi Rehan has got loads to pull you towards itself. Khushboo has some amazing songs, which unfortunately haven’t been promoted as well, yet have made their mark. The choreography is by Saroj Khan and the lyrics by Javed Akhtar while the music is by Adnan Sami, and all this makes it a big draw music wise. Plus, the guys are gonna love this new lady in tinseltown, while the girls can go crazy at the sight of yet another hunk. All in all, it’s got a lot of things going for itself, and we hope the newcomers can make a mark!
But the third one hasn’t excatly been able to make a mark or raise the curiosity of the viewers with it’s promos. Summer 2007 has got only Gul Panag as one of the things to look out for. Not even Sikander Kher, who might be basking in the mixed success of Woodstock Villa, because the guy resembles at times someone who gives gazes like a blind man! Well, this is perhaps the weakest contender, for not just this Friday, but seemingly many of them. The promos haven’t even been in your face for some time and it’s already time for it’s release, with no songs which one can relate with this movie and a name which only worsens the prospects.
well, you have loads of choice! Which one would you go for?
