Song analysis - For all those who believe that A R Rahman saves the best these days for Aamir Khan, comes another song to affirm their belief. But this is one is a melancholic melody! ‘Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai‘ from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane is one song the simplicity of which will hit you quite well. ‘Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai‘ starts off bang on target, to reflect the conflicting emotions of a broken heart. ‘Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai‘ grows on you, albeit with each hearing. The lyrics by Abbas Tyrewala, and the music by A R Rahman are top notch, no doubt. But it is the singing by this unheard-of crooner Runa, which is the high point of’Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai‘. She just sings as if going through it all herself! You don’t get to hear that honest a singing very often these days now, do you? She’s made for great future if she continues this streak of hers. All in all, a good sad song which will leave you feeling low for some time. But hey! That’s what we don’t want our readers to do. So, after you have given vent to your ire through this song, we suggest you shake a leg or two and drive away the blue… coz… Pappu can’t dance saala! Keep smiling
