Tadka spice - Sikander Kher has got the perfect launch vehicle for himself in Woodstock Villa. Read on to find out why!
Mean is in! Big time! If last year saw Neil Nitin Mukesh playing the role of Johnny Gaddaar effortlessly, this time it is Sikander Kher who has gone all out in this ‘trust-can-go-take-a-plunge’ thriller Woodstock Villa. With the dark and sepia toned Mumbai city as the perfect backdrop of it’s equally dark minded lead characters, the brilliant cinematography and camerawork just brings out the perfect shots for Woodstock Villa, and that just increases your interest in this movie directed by Hansal mehta.
It’s the story of wife who plots her own abduction, in order to test her husband’s loyalties. As a wife, Neha Uberoi is a convincing actress who can make it in the industry, thanx to a role which lets her do a lot more than conventional debuts by other female newcomers. But the star of the film is Sikander Kher. All right, you might have been misled by those promos on your boob-tube, but he is surely gonna make it big in Bollywood with just the right roles. And Arbaaz Khan has kind of mastered the art of playing secondary supporting roles, yet powerful ones.
Sanjay Gupta and Sanjay Dutt’s friendship will only get better with the success of Woodstock Villa, since they have come up with a thriller which actually is a thriller and not a badly packaged wild goose chase. The movie just keeps your interest intact throughout, though you are also forced to sit through songs which slow down the pace of the film and make you crib once again that they are not always needed. Sigh! But nevertheless, you have got an engaging ride throughout Woodstock Villa, and this movie isn’t going out of the cinema halls anytime soon.
Woodstock Villa is here to stay. And we don’t wanna spoil your intended fun by giving you any more details or boring lines about how well it has been made. You should watch it. Period. Go enjoy!
