Tadka spice - The music of at least five upcoming movies starring one or more newcomers are giving tough competition to the rest of the biggies!
Fresh!… is the flavour of the season. Or at least that seems to be the case with so many newcomers plastered across our bbob-tubes these days, and with the music of their movies making all the right waves, the audiences are in for a musical treat this summer. Good music draws crowds is a known fact in the Indian Film Industry, and producers are willing to let loose their purse strings in order to woo the audiences till way inside the movie halls. After all, we are known for our musicals in the West, ain’t it?
Leading the race is Khushboo, starring newcomers Avantikka and Rishi Rehan, which has music by Adnan Sami, lyrics by Javed Akhtar and choreography by who else but, ace of dance masters, Saroj Khan. The tracks like ‘Kyun Hai Mujhe Lagta‘ and ‘Dil Yeh Kahe‘ have done wonders for it’s promos and the producers couldn’t have it better. The music is defintely young and one wishes that the movie turns up as well too.
Next we have Haal-E-Dil, which marks the debut of producer Kumar Mangat’s daughter Amita, along with two sweet faced boys Nakuul Mehta and Adhyayan Suman. In fact all three stars show great promise as bigtime future lead actors, with superb cinematography and awesome close-ups of their faces thriving on their different emotions. The title track ‘Haal-E-Dil‘ is making waves, and it has got as much as four different composers, and a yet-to-be-released on tv song, which features UK’s sensational rapper Hard Kaur, all set to burn the charts. Clearly, it couldn’t have been better for them. (Yet it does - Kajol, a good friend of Kumar Mangat is doing a cameo in the film!)
Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan is making his debut in Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, and has got arguably the best, as the music has been given by A R Rahman. The choreography of ‘Hey Aditi‘ and ‘Pappu can’t dance sala‘ is drawing attention in this massively appealing to the youth flick, and while Imran Khan is driving all the girls mad, Genelia, (the girl who was last seen in Masti and Riteish Deshmukh’s debut Tujhe Meri Kasam, before she went on to do South Indian cinema) with her sweet and sexy looks is riding high curiosity levels amongst the males! Great going pals!
Tv star Rajeev Khandelwal’s debut flick Aamir is all set for a release and Amit Trivedi’s score, especially the song ‘Ha Raham‘ is making all the right sounds, what with it’s sufi touch bringing back the charm in Bollywood music once again. But it doesn’t end there! The album has got a lot more in store and Amit Trivedi might soon turn into one famous composer, if the going keeps on going this well.
Attention ladies! We apologise to you for not mentioning Harman Baweja, the son of producer Harry Baweja, who is scorching up the screen these days. As if the sweltering heat wasn’t enough, this hunk is hotting up the charts as much with his toned muscles, as with his moves to the tunes of Anu Malik’s score in Love Story 2050, with ‘Milo Na Milo‘ turning into a must-watch-out-for promo. Well, he is in the better company of Priyanka Chopra, who is also his lady love, after a certain Ms. Kapoor turned down the movie, and we must say, they are looking absolutely stunning as a couple. (wink wink*)
So, it’s time for the Bollywood biggies to watch out for this influx of fresh talent in tinselville. And we wish them all a long list of Super-Hits in the years to come! Amen!
