Tadka spice – Who are some of the hottest on-screen pairs in the Indian Film Industry today? Take a look!
Shah Rukh Khan – Kajol : The first word in the most successful on screen chemistry from Hindi cinema, both Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are two powerhouse performers in their own league. And when they come together, it’s magic on-screen! They first came out in Abbas-Mustaan’s Baazigar, where Shah Rukh Khan played the anti-hero. The movie was a hit. They followed the success in Rakesh Roshan’s Karan Arjun. But then they went on to epitomise romance in Aditya Chopra’s Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, the biggest success of Indian Cinema. Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was no less. The last time their fans saw them crackle chemistry was in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and needless to say everyone is waiting to see the patrons of Hindi film chemistry flare up the big screen again.
Hrithik Roshan - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: Sparks flied when they first came together in Sanjay Gadhvi’s Dhoom2: Back In Action, and their chemistry had more than their hot bodies to account for, and their flirtatious looks and act made you sit up and notice a hot couple in motion. D:2’s success rode high on their sex appeal. But for those who didn’t like the smooch, Ashutosh Gowariker provided them enough oomph in the sword fighting sequence in this year’s first major hit Jodhaa-Akbar, where they did it all covered up and did it even better! If there is any couple expected of ever matching the charisma of Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol, it is Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan. Period.
Akshay Kumar – Katrina Kaif: Raj Kanwar’s Humko Deewana Kar Gaye might hav bn a flop, but the chemistry of Akshay and Katrina left the producers deewana enough to haul them up for their forthcoming successes. Vipul Shah made the the hot couple in Namaste London get the chemistry perfect in last year’s superhit, which had the classic combination of a Punjabi munda and an English kuri. What followed was immense bankability of this pair, which gave them another success in Anees Bazmee’s hit Welcome. Last heard, the producers are frantically searching for the perfect script to get them back together, and a certain Mr. Khan has no problems.
Kareena Kapoor – Shahid Kapoor: What could have worked better for the fans of this pair, than the fact that the world is still reeling under the Jab We Met hangover, and can’t get enough of it? Perhaps the fact that even though Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor are no longer a couple off-screen, Kareena’s first big release opposite current flame Saif Ali Khan is being called nothing more than a cola ad, and the fact that she has another movie opposite Shahid, ready for release this year, Satish Kaushik’s Milenge Milenge. Imtiaz Ali did what Ken Ghosh and Abbas-Mustaan weren’t able to do! And the industry can’t thank him enough… Now the fans of this pair can only hope that they recreate the magic yet again. Amen!
