Movie – Jannat In Search Of Heaven
Cast – Emraan Hashmi, Samir Kochhar, Sonal Chauhan
Director – Kunal Deshmukh
Music Director – Pritam
Song – Door Na Ja

Tadka spice – Trust the Bhatt camp to come up with singers and melody you have never heard of before! Is Rana Mazumder the next big thing?

tera chehra…
meri aankhon mein basaa…
rehne de…

khud ko…
thoda sa kahin..
mujhmein basaa… rehne de…

door na ja… door na ja….
door na ja… door na ja….

door na ja… door na… ja…

aaj ke baad mera saara.. safar…
tanha hai…
aur tere saath ka bhi aakhri ye…
lamha hai….

lagta hai…
yaar ki baahon mein meri jannat ka jahaan…
basta hai…

aur kuch der… mujhe…
aur kuch der.. mujhe… inmein bandha rehne de…

aur kuch der.. mujhe… inmein.. bandhaa.. rehne de…

door na ja…
door na ja….
door na ja…
door na ja….

Song analysisSayeed Quadri can give form to the basic emotions in love, and can easily let the singer and the composer take the rest of the headache to come up with a powerful song. Well that’s what it seems, for the song ‘Door na ja‘ from Jannat has the simplest lines ever for a song, yet the ‘depressingly’ beautiful music by Pritam overshadows both the lyrics of ‘Door na ja‘ from Jannat, as well as the powerful singing by Rana Mazumder. Rana Mazumder’s voice gives the song a beautiful touch, but the lyrics aren’t equally impressive. All in all, ‘Door na ja‘ from Jannat is just another song, which might find a few takers, but won’t make it on the charts for long. We hope Rana Mazumder’s voice gets a better song to showcase his talent.

Door na jaa is a superb song , a real refresher by Pritam after the hip hops in Race.
kk could have done justice to the beautiful song, rana mazumder needs to take diction classes, his bengali accent has rather spoilt the simple yet soothing lyrics of Sayeed Quadri !! wonder why doesnt Pritam sings himself rather than making such raw singers sing as I feel there cannot be a more romantic musician present today than Pritam..

You do know that pritam copies most of his songs from korean/foreign music??

Anyhow,it’s supposed be “aur kuch der mujhe… khud se judaa.. rehne de…” der as in time.

    Great site other wise!

    Guys,

I don’t understand whats the problem with pritam copying songs??

Don’t you guys realize that had Pritam not done it, we wouldn’t have had songs like tu hi meri shab hai, kya mujhe pyar hai and zara sa.

All I feel is Pritam just want us to hear good music. We shouldn’t really be concerned with the originality..after all…a song is a song..Just listen to the songs and appreciate rather than criticizing and leave the plagiarism issue with the composers only.

A Great site for the music lovers.
A beautiful song “Door na ja” sung beautifully by Rana Mazumder; both the music and the lyrics are awesome..we must thank Pritam for gifting us with so melodious music one after the another.Even one needs talent to copy these tunes from the right place and present the same in the right way and we are simply spellbound with his compositions.
