Tadka spice – The name of the movie has been taken up in an innovative way to promote the movie. Read on to find more!
The promos of debutante director Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Tashan have hit the small screen now, but in one of the most unusual style, the promotional campaign for the movie includes targetting students in a unique way. Akshay Kumar has been seen on television, requesting students to show their ‘tashan‘ in the on-going board exams throughout the country, and then come and watch his movie Tashan, which releases on 25th April.
Along with Akshay Kumar, Tashan stars three of the most bankable stars right now, namely Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The very fact that this will be Kareena Kapoor’s first release with current boyfriend Saif Ali Khan, has been touted as one of the prime reasons for the film Tashan being slotted in the ‘most awaited release’ category. Akshay Kumar also reveals what is possibly his screen name in Tashan, Bachchan Pandey, and his accent makes it clear that he is playing a character to watch out for.
Tashan is a Yash Raj Film, produced by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra, and the director of the movie Vijay Krishna Acharya, is the same man who wrote the screenplay and dialogues of YRF’s other blockbusters like Dhoom and Dhoom 2: Back In Action. Tashan’s lead cast is from the Bollywood’s top league and considering their track record, all are highly bankable stars, with Akshay Kumar leading the race. The word Race will also remind you that Saif Ali Khan has just got his first hit this year, in Abbas-Mustaan’s Race and is now eagerly awaiting his on screem fling with Kareena Kapoor to release.
Whatever the stars might be expecting from this film, students are surely going to be drawn in by it’s unique promotional strategy, and there is no more than Yash Raj Films itself, which is hoping for it to bring back it’s glory, which was saved by only one hit out of five last year, from this production house, it being Chak De! India. From the looks of it, is is definitely a potential blockbuster, but another of it’s challenges is to live up to the twists and turns provided by the current thriller, Race.
A similar thing had happened when Chak De! India’s success led to audiences expecting an encore in Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, only to be let down highly! But it’s still a whole month from the release of Tashan, and there’s a whole lot of excitement to catch up to, which will defintely draw audiences to screens. Till then, do it with Tashan!
