Shreya Ghoshal was chosen as the voice of Aishwarya Rai‘s character Parvati aka Paro, in the movie Devdas, by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. When Bhansali first heard her on television, she was taking part in a music contest and it is said that the ace director was in the bathroom at that time. He didn’t have to listen to her much before taking the decision. Shreya‘s voice immediately became a sensation, and she was bombarded with offers galore. Her versatility was proved in the very year 2002 itself, when apart from delivering superhits from the classically bent Devdas album, she also gave the Indian Film Industry, one of it’s most sensual songs, ‘Jaadu hai nasha hai’ from the movie Jism.
