When she stepped into Bollywood, she shocked everyone by selecting a role which was speculated to do more bad to her career, than good. Preity Zinta signed Kundan Shah’s Kya Kehna, a story about an unwed mother, which made the critics write her off even before the movie was released. Kya Kehna was Preity’s first signed movie, which went on to become not only a success, but also sent the message loud and clear: PZ was no ordinary gal. Preity Zinta was the only actor from the Indian Film Industry, who didn’t turn hostile in the Bharat Shah case, while many other big names did; a fact for which she was called ’the only man in Bollywood today!’ No wonder she is seen in an advertisement which promotes bravery.
