Indian Film Industry is full of movies whose sets have caught on with not just Indian, but global audiences. Nitin Chandrakant Desai is one of the most popular art directors of Indian Film Industry today. Khamoshi, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas and Lagaan are some of his most popular works, barring the first of which got him a National Award each. He has four National Awards and four Fiilmfare Awards as well, and he continues to excell in taking the audiences to a visual tour of altogether different worlds. In fact, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was so impressed with his work on the sets of his movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, that after finishing the whole movie, he didn’t let the sets to be destroyed, and rather chose to stay there for a complete month itself! Needless to say, Nitin‘s work on Bhansali‘s Devdas and Ashutosh Gowariker‘s Lagaan haunts the audiences till date and makes them wish, if only they could be there too…
