Tadka spice – If you want to know what is special about Bhootnath besides the story and the usual stuff, read on!
The promos of BR Films‘ Bhoothnath have hit the small screen, and are already the talk of the town. The movie produced by Ravi Chopra and directed by Vivek Sharma has been in the news all this while, and the excitement has just got the better of audiences around the world, with it’s slick promos out on all the leading channels. Amongst the movie’s lead starcast are Amitabh Bachcan, Aman Siddiqui -the child artiste, Juhi Chawla, Satish Shah, Rajpal Yadav and as everyone is aware, Shah Rukh Khan, too.
The movie is the story of a seven-year old child and a ghost, who is a troubled soul. When the boy’s family moves into the new home, they are completely unaware of the fact that a ghost would be sharing more than their house, creeping into their daily lives, as he is not too happy with the new occupants. But soon, he becomes friendly with the little kid, and the story now turns to the kid, who can free the troubled Bhootnath, by looking out for what is his ire.
Bhoothnath has made news for Shah Rukh Khan‘s ‘again’ getting along with Amitabh Bachchan, a strong friendship which was interfered into by Amar Singh’s antics and later by media speculation and over-hyped controversies, including Shah Rukh Khan not being invited to the Abhi-Ash wedding and all. But all of these were well put to rest with the camaraderie the two superstars shared on the sets of Bhoothnath, where they got along each other extremely well, and reportedly sorted out the issues.
The music of Bhoothnath has been given by Vishal-Shekhar, and the release date is 9th May, 2008. With Vishal Bhardwaj‘s movies for children getting critical acclaim all around, big names are making movies primarily targetted at Indian children, which sounds too good to hear, but what remains to be seen is whether these attempts will result in success, ramifying into more such projects, or will the failure of a few of them make the production houses shut their doors at them. Till then, enjoy Amitabh Bachchan playing a ghost and trying to scare the daylights out of you!
