kuch kariye, kuch kariye
nuss nuss meri khaule…
hoye kuch kariye… hoye kuch kariye… (fading)

kuch kariye, kuch kariye
buss buss badaa bole
ab kuch kariye… ab kuch kariye… (fading)

ho… koi to chal zidd phariye..
doobe, tariye ya mariye… haye!

koi to chal zidd phariye..
doobe, tariye ya mariye.. haye!

chak de… ho chak de India….
chak de… ho chak de India….
chak de… ho chak de India…./c’mon India…
chak de… ho chak de India…./ chak de India… ha..

nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
this is the time, let’s do it right!

nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
this is the time, let’s do it right!

goonjon mein, galiyon mein…
ration ki phalliyon mein…
bailon mein, beejon mein…
Idon mein, Teejon mein….
reyton ke daano mein…
filmon ke gaano mein…
sadkon ke gaddhon mein…
baaton ke addon mein..

hunkaara aaj bhar lein…
dus baara baar kar lein….
rehna na yaar peechhe…
kitna bhi koi kheenche….
tuss hai na, muss hai jee…
zidd hai to, zidd hai ji….

ghisna yunhi… pisna yunhi… pisna yunhi ..
bas kariye……

koi to chal zidd phariye..
doobe, tariye ya mariye… haye!

koi to chal zidd phariye..
doobe, tariye ya mariye…

chak de… ho chak de India….
chak de… ho chak de India….
chak de… ho chak de India…./c’mon India…
chak de… ho chak de India…./ chak de India… ha..

nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
this is the time, let’s do it right!

nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
this is the time, let’s do it right!

chak de… chak de… chak de… (fading)

ladti patangon mein…
bhidti umangon mein…
khelon ke melon mein…
balkhati railon mein…
gannon ke meethe mein…
khaddar mein cheente mein…
dhoondo to mil jaave…
patta wo Idon mein…

rang aisa aaj bikhre…
aur khul ke aaj nikhre…
mann gaaye aisi Holi…
rug rug mein chal ke boli…

tuss hai na, muss hai jee…
zidd hai to, zidd hai ji….

ghisna yunhi… pisna yunhi… pisna yunhi ..
bas kariye……

koi to chal zidd phariye..
doobe, tariye ya mariye… haye!

koi to chal zidd phariye..
doobe, tariye ya mariye…

chak de… ho chak de India….
chak de… ho chak de India….
chak de… ho chak de India…./c’mon India…
chak de… ho chak de India…./ chak de India… ha..

ab kuch kariye… ab kuch kariye… (fading)….

Chak De! IndiaPatriotism personified!
Chak De! IndiaNational Anthem for Indian Sports!
The above two are the most striking aspects of the title song of Chak De! India, the movie which brought back the non-Pakistani bashing patriotism into mainstream Indian commercial cinema. Chak De! India‘s title song had essentially everything going right for it – excellent charged up music by Salim – Sulaiman, equally energetic singing by Sukhwinder Singh, but what worked the most for this song was it’s lyrics. The lyrics of Chak De! India were wriiten by Jaideep Sahni, and even he wouldn’t have thought that his words which sought inspiration from sports fairs, bulls tilling farms, the countless festivals and the numerous things which find place in the lyrics of Chak De! India were soon to become a rage. The success of Chak De! India lies in it’s simplicity, which everyone could connect to and not the chest-beating type Sunny Deol featuring songs which bordered on something not many could identify with. Chak De! India changed the way Bollywood not just took pride in a country, but also the fact that for aiming high it clearly asked for all to join in for a revolution. The new age India was here long back. Chak De! India just gave it a voice, a slogan and an aim:

Go get it! Chak De!
