Khwaja Jee…
(O Saint Khwaja)
Khwaja…
Khwaja Jee…Khwaja Jee….
Khwaja Jee…..
Ya Gareeb Nawaaz…
(The one who listens to the prayers of the poor)
Ya Gareeb Nawaaz….
Ya Gareeb Nawaaz…
(Ya Gareeb Nawaaz)
Ya Moin-ud-din…Ya Moin-ud-din..
(O Moin-ud-din Chisti, O Khwaja Saint)
Ya Moin-ud-din…
Ya Khwaja Jee…Ya Khwaja Jee….
Ya Khwaja Jee…Ya Khwaja Jee..
Ya Khwaja Jee….

Khwaja Mere Khwaja
(O saint khwaja)
Dil Mein Samaa Ja
(Please take shelter in my heart)
Shaahon Ka Shah Tu
(You are emperor of emperors)
Ali Ka Dulaara
(And you are the beloved of Ali)

Khwaja Mere Khwaja, (ni ga ga ga)X4
Dil Mein Samaa Ja, (sa ri ri ri)x4
Shahon Ka Shah Tu
Ali Ka Dulaara (ni sa ga sa)x4

Khwaja Mere Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja

Khwaja Mere Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja

Beqasson Ki Taqdeer
Tune Hai Sawaari, Tune Hai Sawaari
(The destiny of the ones in despair,
you have changed for the better)

Beqasson Ki Taqdeer
Tune Hai Sawaari, (Hai Sawaari)
Tune Hai Sawaari, (Hai Sawaari)

Khwaja Mere Khwaja…

Tere Durbaar Mein Eh Khwaja
(In your presence, O Saint Khwaja)
Noor To Hai Dekha
(We have been blessed with the divine light)
aa…
Tere Durbaar Mein Eh Khwaja
(And in your presencse, O great Saint)
Sar Jhukaate Hain Auliyaa
(Your confidantes/protectors/confessors bow down to you)
Tu Hai Hindal-wali Khwaja
(You are the Hindal-Wali Khwaja)
Rutba Hai, Pyaara
(Your status is glorious/great)

Chaahne Se Tujhko O Khwaja Jee
Mustafa Ko Paaya
(By wishing/worshipping you Khwaja,
I have found Mohammed [the chosen one])

Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Khwaja Mere Khwaja
Dil ein Samaa Ja, Khwaja, Samaa Ja
Shaahon Ka Shah Tu, Shah Tu
Ali Ka Dulaara

hmm…
Mere Peer Ka Sadka…
(In the alms of my old age)
Mere Peer Ka Sadka….
Hai Mere Peer Ka Sadka
Tera Daaman Hai Thaama
( I have come in your refuge)
Khwaja Jee…
Talee Har Balaa, Hamari
(All my problems/crisis have been averted)
Chhaaya Hai Khumaar, Tera
(Your trance is all over me)
Jitna Bhi Rashq Karein Beshaque
(No matter how much one may envy (rashk) be jealous)
To Kum Hai, Eh Mere Khwaja
(Its just too less, o khwaja)
Tere Kadmon Ko Mere Rehnumaa Nahi Chhoddna Gawaara
(Its not acceptable(gawara), o my guide(rehnuma),
to leave your feet(kadmon) now)

Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Khwaja Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja, Samaa Ja, Samaa Ja
Shaahon Ka Shah Tu,
Ali Ka Dulaara

Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Khwaja Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja, Samaa Ja, Samaa Ja
Shaahon Ka Shah Tu,
Ali Ka Dulaara

Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Khwaja Mere Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja
Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Khwaja Mere Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja, Dil Mein Samaa Ja

Beqasson Ki Taqdeer
Tune Hai Sawaari, (Tune Hai Sawaari)
Beqasson Ki Taqdeer
Tune Hai Sawaari, (Tune Hai Sawaari)
Sawaari, Sawaari

Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Mere Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja, Khwaja Jee
Shaahon Ka Shah Tu, Khwaja Jee
Ali Ka Dulaara, Khwaja Jee

Khwaja Jee, Khwaja Jee, Khwaja Jee
Khwaja Jee, Khwaja Jee, Khwaja Jee
Khwaja Jee…
Khwaja Jee…
Khwaja Jee, Khwaja Jee, Khwaja Jee
Khwaja Jee…
Khwaja Jee…
Khwaja Jee, Khwaja Jee, Khwaja Jee

    Chaahne – loving

Not worshipping. In sufism they only worship one god, god of all. Here in this song the singer is PRAISING Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti.

Lifetime Song. Accidently I became a serious devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba. I listen to this song imagining as this song is composed for Sai. And I get a great spiritual feel. Jai ho ARR!!

this song is a kind of shirk. becacuse we only worship ALLAH , One and only Allah, not a creation of Allah.ALLAH forgives all kind of sins in a condition but not the shirk .

I hope AR Rahman is an expert for sufi songs. This one and the song ‘Arziyaan’ of delhi 6 are my best sufi songs ever.

I just wanted to share that the sufi interpretation of the word Kwaja means “a master” meaning a teacher. Hence, a master and his disciples. A master is also teacher, hence, he is also known as Mwalim.

The first time I heard this song was when watching the movie Jodhaa Akbar some 18 months or so ago. The moment it began I was mesmerised by its ‘other-worldly’ sound. I was even more moved when I discovered what the words meant once translated to English. Very humbling and just sublime.
