The song ‘Holi aayi re‘ from Yash Chopra’s Mashaal is a colourful number, which isn’t too fast paced and the beauty of the song lies in the lyrics which have been penned by Javed Akhtar. The song ‘Holi aayi re‘ from Mashaal talks about everything from the after effects of bhaang, and two lovers rejoicing in the festive mode of Holi. The music by Hridyanath Mangeshkar is finely done, with the necessary drumbeats and other instruments to lend it the Holi touch. Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar have sung it with all their hearts, bringing out the colours of the various emotions the song is about, in full fervour. Enjoy the colours of the song!
