It’s the night when the Indian Film Industry comes to a standstill. It’s the night that tens of hopes are shattered while that one winner takes it all. It’s the night that history has been in the making for over fifty three years.

It’s March 2nd, this year, when the Bollywood brigade will gather for the most awiated night of the year, for it’s March the second that the Filmfare Awards will be held in Mumbai. Though no announcements have been done so far, the preparations have begun for the oldest and the best awards show of Bollywood.

The Filmfare teams have begun the task of roping in the stars for the spectacular finale, and the rehearsals are more or less on the anvil. Filmfare had expressed disappointment last year too, when their favourite baby, and twice a Filmfare Award winner Aishwarya Rai wasn’t able to perform at the event. But this time, we might see her coming back on the stage where getting a chance to perform itself means, you have arrived.

It is only at Filmfare that we get to see rare sights. Sights like Sridevi’s now very exclusive public appearances. Sights like Shah Rukh Khan making the audiences laugh out loud with his antics. Sights like last year, where a miffed Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor had to sit right behind Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. So make sure, you finish all your work and be prepared to sit in front of your television sets, for this night cannot be missed. We love you, Filmfare!
