The movie Mithya is a story about a bad actor VK, who wants to make it big, in the big, bad world of Bollywood. For this VK, comes to Mumbai, where his Bolywood dreams start unfolding, along with some dramatic twists and turns anda backdrop of the Mumbai underworld, wher he gets entangled in the mayhem of it all, when an adventitious incident turns the life of all the protaginists of Mithya around.
And thus, begins the wild goose chase, which has VK at the heart of it, who is in too deep a mess to get out of it. The movie has caught everyone’s attention due to it’s slick promos, and the star cast itself, which has Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak coming together for the nth time and director Rajat Kapoor, who calls this his most ambitious project ever, at the helm of all affairs. What surely works for the film is this trio, which gave us Bheja Fry last year, but more than that, it’s the buzz revolving around Mithya which has caught everyone by surprise.
Reportedly, Neha Dhupia is fainting these days on the sets due to overdose of work. But what has actually kept the actress busy these days is all the different movies which she is doing these days. And considering the fact that Mithya has an amazing team behind it, this movie might just do it for Neha Dhupia, for she needs to get rid of the wooden actress tag soon.
And Rajat Kapoor, who is popular for making movies in a meagre budget of 6 million rupees, is surely making all the buzz with his projects, be it beinf behind the camera or in front of it. Planman Motion Pictures will surely be laughing all the way to bank with Mithya, the satirical tale inspired by a mythical tale itself. Talk about high expectations!
