Khwaja Mere Khwaja…

Tere Durbaar Mein Eh Khwaja
Noor To Hai Dekha
aa…
Tere Durbaar Mein Eh Khwaja
Sar Jhukaate Hain Auliyaa
Tu Hai Hindal-wali Khwaja
Rutba Hai, Pyaara
Chaahne Se Tujhko O Khwaja Jee
Mustafa Ko Paaya

Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Khwaja Mere Khwaja
Dil ein Samaa Ja, Khwaja, Samaa Ja
Shaahon Ka Shah Tu, Shah Tu
Ali Ka Dulaara

hmm…
Mere Peer Ka Sadka…
Mere Peer Ka Sadka….
Hai Mere Peer Ka Sadka
Tera Daaman Hai Thaama
Khwaja Jee…
Talee Har Balaa, Hamari
Chhaaya Hai Khumaar, Tera
Jitna Bhi Rashq Karein Beshaque
To Kum Hai, Eh Mere Khwaja
Tere Kadmon Ko Mere Rehnumaa Nahi Chhoddna Gawaara

Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Khwaja Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja, Samaa Ja, Samaa Ja
Shaahon Ka Shah Tu,
Ali Ka Dulaara

Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Khwaja Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja, Samaa Ja, Samaa Ja
Shaahon Ka Shah Tu,
Ali Ka Dulaara

Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Khwaja Mere Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja
Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Khwaja Mere Khwaja
Dil Mein Samaa Ja, Dil Mein Samaa Ja

Song analysis - The song ‘Khwaja Mere Khwaja‘ from the movie Jodhaa-Akbar is definitely going to be loved by one and all. That A.R. Rahman is a music maestro is a known fact, but his best comes out in such songs which deal with the Almighty. Case in point: be it ‘O Paalanhare‘ from the movie Lagaan, or ‘Ik Tu hi bharosa‘ from the movie Pukar, he truly creates magic with these songs. The lyrics of ‘Khwaja Mere Khwaja‘ have been penned by Kashif and have a Sufi touch to them. The feelings of being one with God are expressed beautifully in the song, and music is, well, typical Rahman wonder. What A.R. Rahman does, is remind you of the days when songs were far more crucial, for pulling the audience to the screens, than they are these days. And if nothing else, it is songs like ‘Khwaja Mere Khwaja‘, which will definitely ask of you to watch the spectacle, only at a big screen. Meanwhile, play the song to be one with The One!

A very beautiful song, and the highpoint of *Jodhaa Akbar*; but I have no Hindi. Is there an English translation of the lyric *Khwaja Mere Kwaja* somewhere in cyberpsace?

    Thank you!

    Richard

It is offcourse an amazing song……just wanted to correct few things when u have translated in english this line…= Door toh hai dekha
(I’ve seen it from afar) which actually is Noor To Hai Dekha
aa… Noor is light so it means we have seen light and the next thing is in this line…..= Mere peer ka sadka
(The alms of my old age)
    Hai mere peer ka sadka
(It is the charity of my old age)….what this means is when they refer to peer which is peer-o-murshid a spiritual guru who shows the right path so his sadka which means thru him i am blessed for his renunciation
