Tadka spice - Subhash Ghai delves into a new genre altogether, once again surprising us with his skills. Click on ‘Read more’ to view the complete post.
Of late, Subhash Ghai, the showman of Bollywood has been playing quite a gamble of sorts, and most of it has been paying of.
With Black-N-White he delves into a new subject. Black-N-White has been directed by the ace director Subhash Ghai himself. Production house Mukta Arts Ltd. now brings to the viewers a human story entangled with the noirish backdrop of violence and danger. Aptly titled, Black-N-White is the story of a relationship between a professor and a young terrorist. And the first look has caught the attention of everyone, quite easily.
The movie’s promo kicks off with some Afghani lines, and some of the visuals from that beyond the Indian border. Soon we have very fast visuals of the protagonists of this movie. Leading the pack is newcomer Anurag Sinha, a trained actor and diploma holder from FTII. Joining him would be Anil Kapoor in a strong role, and Shefali Chhaya as well as Aditi Sharma, last seen in Khanna & Iyer. There are visuals of everything from Delhi Metro to Lal Qila in the fast paced scenes and a very interesting soundtrack to keep up with it all.
Subhash Ghai, who started Whistling Woods Film and Multimedia Institute, now wants to go further with his off beat production of movies like Joggers’ Park and Iqbal, has directed a movie after his dud Kisna, which came a long time back. And since he is returning behind the camera once again, one can surely expect a lot from this movie. As for the newcomer Anurag, he surely couldn’t have asked for a better launch. But coming into Mr. Ghai’s eyes wasn’t an easy task. Mukta Arts will be introducing seven newcomers, in an interesting mix of small and big budget movies to be released this year. We hope that the showman tastes a lot of success and provides the already upwards surging spirits of moviedom in India, a powerful boost in 2008. All the best sir!
