Song analysis - The song ‘kashmakash‘ from the movie Sunday, is the one and maybe the only disappointment in the whole album, because with an amalgamation of so many different composers, the producers took a substantial risk. But the risk didn’t pay off well. Shibani Kashyap, as a singer and music director fails to create any magic, far different from the one she had created in the movie ‘Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part-II‘, with the song ‘Sajna‘. Alas! ‘Kashmakash’ is no Sajna. Virag Mishra’s lyrics are nothing much to write home about. All in all, the song might just score a high point with the special appearance of Esha Deol in this song, such that all depends on the choreography and the camerawork, even if Shibani’s somewhat shrill voice seems highly unsuited on Esha. Well, we hope the listeners don’t have to do much of a kashmakash bearing with this song!
