Song analysis – Cool! It’s the first thing that comes to your mind on listening to the title track of Sunday. The movie has surely caught up with the curiosities of the viewers, what with the intelligently mastered promos, followed by this song, in which composer Sandeep Chowta has kept the music to a low key affair, which is the song’s USP, as the whole track is very easy on the ears. Mahua Kamat, Suraj, Earl Edgar are the voices behind the song, and have managed to infuse that freshness into the track with the focus on getting a song’s feel right. Lyrics by Farhad Sajid are cool too, though they are too specific to the movie’s theme. But the song will work well till the time it is around and might be played later on every sunday, or rather each weekend, just to countdown to that long awaited lazy sunday afternoon. The only thing which won’t work in the favour of the song are the english lyrics, as they are too movie-centric. Meanwhile, we hope our readers enjoy the song. Play on!
