To Shahid, you’re obviously missing the point of the movie (and the purpose of Farah Khan’s movies to date) – it’s meant to be a spoof of “typical Bollywood,” – in the same vein of Hollywood’s Austin Powers and its spoof of the 60s. It’s meant to be fun – no other purpose!

Why do people think that all cinema has to be ‘deep’ or ‘artsy’ to be good? Indian cinema gets an especially bad rap for this. Indian cinema is different for a reason and has a great history behind it. Not to say I don’t enjoy and appreciate a well crafted art film, but Indian commercial cinema shouldn’t apologize or conform to what western viewers deem to be ‘good cinema.’ It’s what keeps things interesting.

FARAH KHAN DO WHAT U DO BEST. CHOREOGRAPHY. STOP MAKING THESE SCREWED UP MOVIES. FIRST YOU MADE MAIN HOON NA, WHERE AN ARMY OFFICER (SRK) HAD NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN TO GET THE CHIEF OF ARMY HIS DAUGHTER BACK. AND NOW ANOTHER FANTASY MOVIE MADE IN LALA LAND. LOL, AND ITS FUNNY PEOPLE ACTUALLY BUYING THIS SHIT.
