Song – Kholo kholo/tu dhoop hai
Lyrics – Prasoon Joshi

kholo kholo darwaaze
parde karo kinare
koonte se bandhi hai hawa
mil ke chudao saare
saare saare …..

aajao patang le ke
apne hi rang le ke
aasmaan ka sham-e-ana
aaj hamein hai sajaana
hai sajaana
hai sajaana

kyon iss kadar haeraan tu
mausam ka hai mehmaan tu
o duniya sajee tere liye
khud ko zara pehchaan tu
tu dhoop hai
chamm se bikhar
tu hai nadi
o bekhabar
behe chal kahi
udd chal kahi
dil khush jahaan
teri to manzil hai vaheen…

ho…
kyon iss kadar haeraan tu
mausam ka hai mehmaan tu

baasi zindagi udaasi taazi hasne ko raazi
garamaa garam saari abhi abhi hai utaari
oooooooooo
zindagi toh hai bataasha
meethi meethi si hai aasha
chakle rakhle hatheli se dhak le isse
tujh maein agar pyaas hai
baarish ka ghar bhi paas hai
o …roke tujhe koi kyun bhala
sang sang tere aakash hai
tu dhoop hai
chamm se bikhar
tu hai nadi
o bekhabar
behe chal kahi
udd chal kahi
dil khush jahaan
teri to manzil hai vaheen…

khul gaya …aasmaan ka rasta
dekho khul gaya
mil gaya …kho gaya tha jo sitara
mil gaya
mil gaya
roshan hui saari zameen
jugmug hua saara jahaan
udne ko tu azad hai
bandhan koi ab hai kahaan
tu dhoop hai
chamm se bikhar
tu hai nadee
o bekhabar
behe chal kahi
udd chal kahi
dil khush jahaan
teri toh manzil hai vaheen…

o….
kyon iss kadar haeraan tu
mausam ka hai mehmaan tu

Song analysis – There have been inspiring songs, a one too many, when it comes to Bollywood movies, and Aamir Khan has himself been featured in some of them from his movies like Sarfarosh and never to be missed Rang De Basanti. But what works for the song ‘kholo kholo/tu dhoop hai‘ isn’t just the fact that it is inspirational, but the way it is presented to you. The music is kept bare minimum yet wow! And as always, Prasoon Joshi impresses with his words. He ignites a fire in the listener with such a laidback effort that you can’t help but relate to the song in your own way. The singer Raman Mahadevan’s voice almost decieves you to be that of Shankar Mahadevan himself, but his singing as beautiful as his friend Shankar’s, which you’ll also notice in other songs. That is the magic of this song, it goes much beyond Aamir Khan and makes you wanna get up and give everything in life your best shot (without overdoing it in the musical section). Just a guitar plays soulfully throughout the song and in case you are one of those who knows how play a few strums of the guitar, you’ll soon find yourself practising this song and filling yourself with happiness over it. Because when it is Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy at the composing end and Aamir Khan behind the camera, you just get THE best and nothing else. Off to revving up your life!
