aur sapne me mil jaaye farishta sa koi
jaise rangon bhari pichkaari
jaise titliyaan phoolon ki kyaari
jaise bina matlab ka pyara rishta ho koi
yeh toh aasha, ki lehar hai
yeh toh ummeed ki seher hai
khushiyon ki nehar hai
kho na jaayein yeh…
taare zameen par…
dekho raaton ki seene pe yeh to
jhilmil kisi law se ugge hain
yeh to ambiya ke khushboo hain
baagon se beh chale
jaise kaanch me choodi ke tukre
jaise khile khile phoolon ke mukhde
jaise bansi koi bajaaye pedon ke tale
yeh toh jhonke, pawan ke
hai yeh ghunghro jeewan ke
yeh toh sur hai chaman ke
kho na jaayein yeh…
taare zameen par….
mauhalle ki raunak, galliyaan hai jaise
khilne ki zidd per, kaliyaan hai jaise
muthhi mein mausam ki, jaise hawaayen
yeh hai buzurgon ki, dil ki duaayen
kho na jaayein yeh…
taare zameen par…
taare zameen par….
kabhi baatien jaise daadi naani
kabhi chalke jaise mumm mumm paani
kabhi ban jaayein, bhole sawaalon ki jhadee
(kho na jaayein yeh)
sannaate mein hanssi ke jaise
soone hothon pe khushi ke jaise
ye to noor hai barse (a)gar teri kismat ho badee
(kho na jaayein yeh)
jaise jheel mein lehraye chanda
jaise bheed mein apne ka ban-na
((kho na jaayein yeh)
jaise mann mauji nadiyaa jhaag udaaye kuch kahe
(kho na jaayein yeh)
jaise baithe baithe meethi si jhapki(kho na jaaye yeh)
jaise pyaar ki dheemi si thapki
jaise kaano me sargam hardam bajti hi rahe
ho….
jaise barkha udaati hai nindiyaa…
kho na jaayein …
kho na jaayein…
kho na jaayein …
kho na jaayein yeh…
kho na jaayein yeh….
kho na jaayein yeh…..
Song analysis - Different aka hatke! This is the first word that comes to your mind on mentioning Aamir Khan, and since this a movie which has Aamir Khan as producer and director as well, besides himself starring in the movie, hence, it becomes all the more special with Aamir’s involvement in other aspects of his directorial debut, especially the music. The title song, ‘taare zameen par‘ has every beautiful thing associated with an innocent childhood, yet it is so refreshing without becoming cliche. It is not just the composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy who have given a compelling score for the nth time, but the singers as well, with Shankar Mahadevan leading the vocals, and Dominique Cerejo and Vivienne Pocha providing stupendous support in the chorus. The music is kept low, charming and without obstructing the flow of the lyrics by not overdoing it. But the best part remains the lyrics, penned by Prasoon Joshi, who had given us myriad excellence in his lyrics for movies like Fanaa, Black, Rang De Basanti, Hum Tum and Phir Milenge amongst others. The lyrics are beautiful to the point of mesmerising you time and again, because this is one of those songs which won’t let you change the radio station if you happen to come across it playing on one of them. You will love to hear the song time and again, which will remind you of not just your childhood, but also the mannerisms of kids in your life, which you will associate with and look at, in an entirely new light here onwards. This is one of those songs which parents will enjoy the most, especially just-became-dads-and-mums, and just in case a parent and a child are miffed with each other, this is one song which will calm the parent, no matter what. The song’s lyrics thus go beyond the usual humdrums associated with a Bollywood song, and reflect the childhood in a compelling way. Hats off to Prasoon Joshi for giving us a song that we’ll cherish for years to come. Enjoy the song!
