Pooja-Hanif have been ousted from Nach Baliye this week. Their ouster came as a shock as they were the ones whom not just the judges wanted to save but even the other jodi (couple) in the danger zone, Alex-Sweta claimed that they wouldn’t like it if Pooja-Hanif were to be sent back.
The elimination round saw quite some tender moments with excerpts from Vaibhavi’s sister on how the ace choreographer has changed ever since she went into Nach Baliye, where Vaibhavi too was seen saying that she had been in a relationship for some time now, and wanted to move further. Audiences loved this personal insight into Vaibhavi’s life. Soon enough Alex and Sweta too were seen in a video from their video blog, in which the two were shown flying to Amsterdam in Holland, to attend a family wedding in Alex’s relations. Alex’s family was quite coy in front of the camera and were pleased to have an Indian beauty amongst them, soon to be their bahu. Well, apart from this their was a performance by TV stars Shraddha Nigam and Karan Singh, who danced away to loud cheers and applause, specially for the hunk who has got almost every girl’s attention ever since his appearance on Tv.
Post this, we got to see some real drama. Pooja Bedi, was seen complaining about the way the voting system works, and said that it was beyond her understanding. She elaborated by taking her own example that even though her performance was appreciated with tid-bits of errors pointed out, she got a seven, but what happened next, started a catfight of sorts. Pooja pointed out Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek’s act and said that even though they were the ones who got the negative comments due to low energy, they still managed a 9 from the judges, saying that it wasn’t about the marks but about the comments translating into the marks. To this, Vaibhavi replied that if Pooja were to tell her how to comment, she would have been better off in the judge’s seat. When motormouth Rakhi Sawant was asked about this, she said that even though she wanted to say something but Abhishek made her swear not to blurt anything out. The tiff was handled by judge Isha Koppikar who said that they know what to tell and to whom, because they don’t want to discourage anyone. This time all the jodis were called on stage to annoucne the fate of each other. The third jodi in the danger zone with Alex-Sweta and Pooja-Hanif was that of Kashmira-Krushna, and what was seen as a mere coincidence, albeit of a different kind was that the jodi in the danger zone Pooja-Hanif announced the fate of Rakhi-Abhishek, who were clearly sent back in the safe zone. After Kashmeera-Krushna returned, all three judges were of unanimous opinion that Pooja-Hanif should be saved, with Vaibhavi Merchant adding “undoubtedly” to her reply. But as luck would have it, Pooja and Hanif were sent back. Pooja bid adieu to her fellow contestants, amidst flashes from her past peformances and the respective applauds the jodi got from the judges, saying that her daughter was pleased with her improvement so far.
The following were the scores of the jodis in the ‘Judge’s song’ theme, this week:

Highlights:
Salman Khan had made a guest appearance during the rehearsals, where he was seen laughing incessantly, while Vaibhavi accompanied the director no.1 in his act. The hosts Hussain and Tina looked every bit glam, with Tina’s refulgent orange attire and Hussain’s cleavage on proud display. The show kickstarted with Vaibhavi’s first jodi Karan-Amita, who began their act by a spoof on Aamir-Sanjeeda’s table dance and Rakhi-Abhishek’s balancing acts, giving away soon to their own style. While Karan was the cool dude, Amita looked every bit a banjaran. The closing act of their performance saw them going right up to the judges’ stage. Rakhi was asked, as she was the female lead in the music video of this song, about who was better, as a reply to which she applauded the act. Isha commented by referring to Karan as Mr. Natwarlal, that he stole her heart and Vaibhavi herself said that Amita was ‘far far better’ than Karan this time.
The next jodi was Vaibhavi’s Kashmira-Krushna, who told in flashback moments, that it was Vaibhavi who gave them this song as she thought they had never done something of this type before. They performed ‘flamenco‘ salsa, with Kashmira in a bright yellow dress, to a slow number. Pooja-Hanif were asked this time about what they felt of their performance, to which Pooja gave an eleven on ten to the jodi. The use of a red sand bed during the act lended some special effects to their act. Vaibhavi who went mad hugged the couple on stage.
Isha Koppikar was next with Alex and Sweta. The Cheeni Kum waiter was seen crooning the lyrics of the song at the end of the act, which didn’t go even half as well as his performance. They had a tragic end in their act, in keeping with the song’s music and lyrics. Sweta told the audience that Isha had asked them to you a lot of fabrics for this song. David Dhawan applauded the concept while Vaibhavi said that the choeography was good. Sweta and Alex adorned outfits which were all blue and all silver as seen from the front and the back respectively.
Isha’s next jodi Aamir and Sanjeeda performed on the tease of a song, with both of them in appropriate rural Indian dresses. Post their performance, Vaibhavi commented that they were better than her own jodi Karan and Amita. Karan was seen cheering Aamir-Sanjeeda throughout. David liked the clean chcoreography and went as far as saying that instead of Gracy Singh, Sanjeeda should have been taken in the movie, and said that Aamir himself looked like Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s younger brother. After this, Isha came down and hugged them both. She gifted them each an evil eye bracelet, to which David Dhawan joked that Isha was giving a ‘rakhi’ to Aamir. Aamir replied by pointing out to Rakhi Sawant that she is the only ‘rakhi’ in here. Isha also gave Alex-Sweta an idol of Hindu God of happiness, Ganesha. Isha termed their performance as a ‘faadu‘ one.
David Dhawan’s jodis were next. Hanif and Pooja were seen getting tips from the director in the flashback. Hanif said that they were more used to Latin dance moves and this would be the first time that they were trying Bollywood’s latkas and jhatkas. Their India-Pakistan LoC concept and politics separating the lovers got appreciation from Vaibhavi who said that life was all about social issues and presenting them in a humorous manner. David Dhawan had put in rough acting in both of them, was her view. Isha complained about lack of choreography in the act though, which David readily admitted. The act was confusing for the judges as according to them the the words didn’t translate into dance. Pooja being a Hindu and Hanif being a Muslim was the perfect setting though. Pooja gushed about the special vase that she kept for each flower that Hanif would bring her each time, to which Hanif presented her with a red rose right there itself, much to the surprise of Pooja.
Saving the best for the last must have been the production team’s idea as David’s other jodi Rakhi-Abhishek came on stage. But this time all wasn’t well. Rakhi dressed as an Indian apsara lacked energy in her moves. She later said that this time her mother wasn’t present here, to which she was shown a special message by her mother. Her mother lauded her daughter’s contribution to her family and said that education of girl child was of utmost importance sending a strong signal towards giving girls equal rights as with boys. Vaibhavi complained about lack of energy and Isha said the same while adding that Rakhi looked like a diamond.
The final moments saw the choreographer of the week award going to Nitin, who was the choreographer for Kashmeera and Krushna.
