Tadka question: What did the ‘honest’ Rakhi Sawant have in store, for the jodi which is out now – Karan and Kavita?
Karan Grover and Kavita Kaushik, who were one of the favourites of all the jodis as well as the judges, were ousted from the race for the best dancing couple, in the reality TV show Nach Baliye 3, aired on Star Plus. The two were in the danger zone along with Krushna-Kashmeera, and Pooja-Hanif. They had given a ‘theek-thaak’ performance as indicated by ace choreographer judge Vaibhavi Merchant, who revered their cuteness but riviled their choreographer Rajiv‘s moves, even as Karan and Kavita tried to take the blame on themselves by telling that they gave Rajiv only 2 days for the practice.
The following were the scores of the jodis in the ‘club mix’ theme, this week:
Pooja-Hanif: 22 (Isha – 7, David – 8, Vaibhavi – 7) (song ‘fanaa’ from the movie Yuva)
Karan-Kavita: 15 (Isha – 5, David – 5, Vaibhavi – 5) (song ‘it’s the time to disco’ from the movie Kal Ho Na Ho)
Kashmira-Krushna: 27 (Isha – 9, David – 9, Vaibhavi – 9) (song ‘signal’ from the movie Bhagam Bhag)
Aamir-Sanjeeda: 24 (Isha – 8, David – 8, Vaibhavi – 8 ) (song ‘mama told me/ek ajnabee’ from the movie Ek Ajnabee)
Sweta-Alex: 24 (Isha – 8, David – 8, Vaibhavi – 8 ) (song ‘mehbooba remix’ from the movie RGV Ki Aag)
Karan-Amita: 24 (Isha – 7, David – 8, Vaibhavi – 7) (song ‘where’s the party tonight?’ from the movie Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna)
Rakhi-Abhishek: 30 (Isha -10, David -10, Vaibhavi -10) (song ‘wo ajnabee’ from the movie The Train)
Kavita, who is immensely popular for playing a Haryanvi inspector Chautala in the hit comedy series F.I.R. on Sab TV, bid farewell by saying that she had made some really great friends here. But even as they were called with Rakhi-Abhishek on stage, at the time of declaring which of the two jodis was in the danger zone, Rakhi Sawant didn’t leave her honesty, by replying to the question posed by host Hussain, (who with wife Tina, handling the green room this time, had won Nach Baliye 2 last year) ‘Would you let them stay and go out yourself instead if it were to be possible?’, by saying ‘No! Because honestly we don’t believe that they (Karan-Kavita) should have given the excuses that they didn’t get enough time to rehearse’, citing her own busy schedule as an example. Karan thanked her for her honesty. With Karan and Kavita being the only jodi having less than 20 points, it seemed definite that they would be out. Kashmeera-Krushna, who surprisingly made it to the danger zone, were relieved after which Vaibhavi declared that Hanif-Pooja would be seen next time as Karan-Kavita were going out of this race. Their choreographer Rajiv too said that if anyone else would have been shown the door out, he would have felt extremely bad about it. Their re-entry in the race depends solely on the wild card entry round and even though they are strong contenders, it is yet to be seen when and how that will happen. Special guests Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor were present on the show, for a PR exercise for their upcoming movie Jab We Met, and the show also had a performance by Amrita Arora, who stunned everyone with her sexy moves. The sadness on the faces of the judges was easily seen, but it’s all part of the game. After all, as they say, ‘The show must go on…’.
