Song analysis - When you know that some of the most talented and witty stars of this movie are to be featured together in a song, you couldn’t have got it better than ‘Show me your jalwa’. Well looking at the song’s lyrics above, there are hardly any spaces in between because that’s exactly the way composers Salim-Sulaiman have kept the song. It starts and ends in a long fast paced style which catches your attention because of the X factor. Well seemingly coming from rural hinterlands, Kailash Kher and Richa Sharma are a treat to listen to, and Salim Merchant himself puts some vocal inputs. And as far as the lyrics are concerned, well you won’t actually connect with them from the word ‘go’ but seems like this is one song which will get the better of the audience after they see what visualisations adorn it. The lyrics use words which seem to be teasing the other party, and since this is Madhuri Dixit’s comeback, it was obvious that the energy if the song be kept as high as possible without harming it. Kailash Kher and Richa Sharma make it seem like this was a song which could be sung only by them. And the simple line ’show me your jalwa’ will prompt many of us with two left feet to put on the dancing shoes and show your dance moves, no matter how good or bad they are. This song will be a rage because it has oodles of fun in it, and will drive you mad enough so that you eventually give in to the craving to shake your leg. And the song has this whole aura which doesn’t even want you to shake it perfectly. Just move it! - seems to be the mantra. Do we see a lot of coy dancers up already?
