What could be better to start our ‘Hall of Fame‘ section, than A.R. Rahman’s great work in one of the best movies which the Indian Film Industry has churned out in recent years. The maestro gave a compelling score in this Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra movie, and singers Naresh Iyer and Madhushree gave their soulful touch to this song, which became a hit with the listeners of all age groups, (especially the females). The lyrics of the song were written by Prasoon Joshi. It is a slow, melodious track, which touches every heart string and is definitely one of those rare songs which epitomize the tenderness of moments spent together by couples. And to add to the magic, was the simple fliming which showed friends too in the video, and not just two love struck ones. For friendship is the first step to love, and without friends life is nothing.
